Open to everyone, everywhere, Cultureword's National Black Writers Conference is a celebration of global majority writers*, exploring achievements made and hurdles still to be overcome. #BWC21 was all-virtual, with female & non-binary artists delivering talks, panels and workshops. The conference theme is 'We Want to Dream'. Nearly 60 years ago Martin Luther King famously said 'I Have a Dream'. Today, Global Majority artists want their right to dream, to create whatever they want to, no matter what it is. This playlist contains 7 of the conference events covering topics including: the future of literature; connections between queer culture back in the day and right now, and a panel on eliminating Ivory Towers at universities.
